We can...

Use evidence, data and analysis to support decision-making, prioritisation and service redesign

Robust evidence can greatly enhance decision-making whether in central government, partnerships or localities. However, for this to happen policy makers and practitioners must have access to relevant evidence and be able to use and interpret it.

We work with our clients to help develop analytical capacity, encourage data sharing and analysis, and disseminate research findings to drive improvement and share learning.

Examples of the ways in which we work include:

  • Working with partnerships to improve data sharing and using evidence to inform commissioning;
  • Advising local partnerships on local evaluation and data sharing for integrated performance management;
  • Leading the learning and dissemination strands of major national evaluation programmes to enable policy and practitioners to apply the findings;
  • Supporting local and self-evaluation through workshops and guidance.
