Sub-regions and city-regions are becoming increasingly important.
To date, the economy, skills, transport and planning have formed the focus for most sub-regional activity. But a wider agenda is emerging with Place-based working and community budgeting involving sub-regions, and commentators arguing that this level could form an important component of a new settlement between central and local government.
We have worked with many sub-regional and city-region partnerships, including: Thames Gateway, Tees Valley, Luton and Central Bedfordshire, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.
Our work includes: leadership development; strategy development; support for multi area agreements; and skills and worklessness.
