The National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal represents a step-change in government policy around social exclusion. For the first time, local authorities have a specific responsibility to ‘narrow the gap’ in the quality of life between their most affluent and most deprived communities.
Through consultancy and learning network activities, Shared Intelligence works with local authorities, local strategic partnerships and other organisations to:
engage with all sections of their communities;
develop strategies, investment programmes and funding bids;
establish performance management systems and processes;
evaluate Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and other funding programmes;
Si manages the National Neighbourhood Management Network on behalf of DCLG’s Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (NRU). Its membership includes over 100 neighbourhood management partnerships across England.
