Employment, Skills and Enterprise

Encouraging enterprise, enhancing workforce skills and helping people back into the labour market must be at the heart of efforts to strengthen any regional and local economy.

Shared Intelligence works with partners to develop new programmes to increase business start up and survival rates. This includes Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) funded programmes, women in enterprise initiatives, and a wide range of business support activities. We design programmes, investment bids and plans and evaluate the impact of enterprise and business development activities.

We specialise in the design and evaluation of programmes which integrate skills and employability initiatives. These include DWP/LSC City Strategy initiatives and local employment strategies. We also specialise in “employer-driven” skills programmes, such as Train to Gain.
