Carol Hayden
Carol is a member of the senior Shared Intelligence team, leading on research and evaluation. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in government, strategic organisations and academia. Her areas of specialist knowledge include economic and community regeneration, social inclusion and partnership working. She has extensive experience of researching, formulating and evaluating policy and programmes in a variety of contexts.
Prior to joining Shared Intelligence, Carol was Head of Research and Development at the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (then ODPM, now CLG). She has also worked as a Strategic Policy Advisor at the Audit Commission, specialising in regeneration and equalities; as a Principal Research Associate at the Local Government Centre at the University of Warwick where she carried out research into older people’s attitudes and participation; and in a range of management roles in local authorities and partnerships in the West Midlands.
